Meeting highlights: Radius a fretboard, position markers, Uke kit, Monkeypod, CBG and more...


Fret Slots and Radiusing the Bookbag Santa Fretboard

Before the meeting, Larry cut the fret slots. Then the fretboard is ready to be radiused.

Procedure goes like this: Align the fretboard on the jig, set the router bit depth for the initial pass, adjust the depth for each additional pass, clean it up with some sandpaper.

Position Markers

We cut maple plugs with a plug cutter on the drill press, freed them with the bandsaw, and installed them on the fretboards.

Bolt on Neck - Two Methods for the Neck Tenon

For the Guitar for Vets, we're using bolts and cross dowel nuts. For the Bookbag Santa guitar, bolts and threaded inserts.
